World Class MSC ships are with max passenger capacity 6782 (5079 lower berths). Each vessel has Gross Tonnage/volume 215,863 (GT tons), LOA length 333 m (1093 ft), waterline beam/width 41 m/135 ft (max width 54 m/177 ft), height 75 m (245 ft), draft 9,2 m (31 ft). Still, despite its great height and length, MSC World Europa won't quite top Wonder of the Seas as the world's biggest cruise ship. Wonder of the Seas and its four sister vessels — Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas — will remain the queens of the megaship world when measured by total interior space. The most basic is an interior stateroom, which measures 160 square feet, contains a wardrobe and bathroom with shower, a double bed that can be converted into two singles, and a mini bar. The most opulent is the MSC Yacht Club Owner’s Suite, which is just over 1,076 square feet, has a balcony with a seating area and a private hot tub, dining and living room areas, a walk-in closet, a bathroom with a separate shower and tub, a bar, and an espresso maker. MSC World Europa is also home to the first brewery at sea where the beers are made with desalinated water. Brewmaster Teo Musso (who opened Baladin Farm Brewery in Italy in 1996) created three signature craft beers, which will be exclusively sold on the ship.

All-new cabin designs are available, and the ship offers more balcony cabins than any other cruise ship in our fleet.In total, the ship has 19 different cabin categories, with 7 brand new designs. From the luxury of the Grand Suite Aurea with an included terrace, to the scenic Infinite Ocean view, to our Deluxe Balcony with promenade view, there’s accommodation for every taste – for couples, families, and all other guests. Families are well catered-to aboard MSC World Europa, which has one of the largest kid's club areas in the fleet onboard, ensuring little ones, kids and teenagers are well looked after. Indeed, everything about the ship speaks to its family-friendly nature, from the availability of high chairs in even specialty restaurants, to its fun pool deck diversions and thrilling games arcade, SportPlex, and Venom Drop dry slide. All-new cabin designs are available, and the ship offers more balcony cabins than any other cruise ship in our fleet.
The latter is a beach and wildlife-viewing destination in the UAE that will be exclusive to MSC World Europa passengers during their visit. MSC World Europa will also feature a craft beer bar serving brews made on board — a first for MSC Cruises. When experiencing a ship of this size and scope, one has to wonder—how is this a greener vessel than its predecessors? First off, MSC World Europa is MSC’s first vessel powered by liquified natural gas (LNG).

What's more, passengers can descend a metal spiral staircase into MSC's classic Masters of the Sea pub -- where, aboard MSC World Europa, a selection of brews are crafted right onboard. MSC World Europa includes plenty of past-passenger favorites, but it is also home to a surprising array of new bars, lounges, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Peruse her decks, step into the fresh juice bar, settle in for a cup of tea or enjoy a cocktail. Bars and lounges will surprise guests with a strong focus on artisan and craft products. Introduced on the 2022-built MSC Seascape, MSC WORLD ships have the ROBOTRON.
The vessel's construction officially started with the steel-cutting ceremony held on October 31, 2019, at Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard/STX France in St Nazaire. During the ceremony was also officially announced the newbuild's name ("MSC Europa") by Pierfrancesco Vago (MSC Cruises' Executive Chairman). The Arabian Gulf deployment (December 2022 through March 2023) was based on a 7-day itinerary leaving roundtrip from 3 homeports - Dubai UAE (Port Rashid), Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Doha (Qatar).
Her state-of-the-art design also includes the latest water treatment technology, to purify wastewater, and propellers designed to reduce the underwater noise in respect of marine wildlife. Couples will also find much to like about MSC World Europa, which can be surprisingly quiet and romantic in certain spots, despite its hefty passenger capacity. Evenings out on deck overlooking the stern from the World Promenade are quiet and intimate, while the ship's specialty restaurants offer unique experiences that couples looking to get away will enjoy. The ship offers numerous cabins to choose from, ranging from economical inside staterooms to spacious Aurea Suite balcony cabins. In mid-January 2020, MSC and the French shipbuilder unveiled the revolutionary R&D (research and development) project PACBOAT that focuses on integrating the new fuel cell technology (SOFC) on LNG-powered cruise ships. In addition, the ship will have the line's first "infinite ocean view" cabins with walls of glass facing the sea that open from the top down to create a balcony-like effect.
It’s also a significant part of the cruise line’s plan to reach net zero emissions across the brand by 2050.

As you step onboard, you’re greeted by an 11-story high, record breaking stainless steel spiral. Hop on the elevator or race to the top of the stairs for the chance to spin 11 stories down to the panoramic views of the World Promenade.
Add that six swimming pools and hot tubs spread across several decks and you’ve still only scratched the surface of what you can get up to on board. From her stunning silhouette to her signature plumb bow, the futuristic MSC World Europa is as visually striking as she is innovative.Her unique Y-shaped open aft leads to the 104m long outdoor World Promenade, with incredible panoramic ocean views. The promenade also features the record breaking, longest dry slide at sea – the Venom Drop @ The Spiral – an 11-deck high stainless-steel masterpiece, unique in the cruise industry. If Disney’s Epcot is famous for drinking around the world, then MSC World Europa, with a whopping 20 bars and lounges, could bring similar bragging rights to the bar top. Drinks are not included in packages, however, so you’ll want to have an idea for how much you want to, er, party to pick the best beverage deal for your needs.
At the end of March, it will start its repositioning sailing to the Mediterranean, making stops in Doha in Qatar, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai in the UAE, Muscat in Oman, and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, before sailing through the Suez Canal and later arriving in Naples, Italy, on April 10. (Guests can get on the ship at any point in the itinerary.) For the rest of the year, it will run constant loops between ports in Malta (Valletta), Spain (Barcelona), France (Provence), and Italy (Genoa, Naples, and Taormina). Using LNG instead of diesel will help to reduce the ship’s total emissions by 25 percent, according to Linden Coppell, MSC’s vice president of sustainability and environmental social governance. When planning the vessel, it was important to have a healthy balance of entertainment options as well amenities to help people relax, MSC CEO Gianni Onorato told AFAR during the maiden sailing. Chef’s Garden Kitchen, one of the original dining concepts on World Europa, has hydroponic gardens throughout the restaurant.

Today, MSC Crociere is a subsidiary of MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) - the world's 2nd largest containership company. The vessel will initially sail a four-night Persian Gulf voyage from Doha, Qatar, to Dubai on Dec. 20. The seven-night voyages will feature calls at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Dammam, Saudi Arabia; Doha; and Sir Bani Yas Island.
Oceanview (VLA)
The MSC World Europa has a whopping 13 restaurants and buffets, so it’s easy to get a bit overwhelmed by choice. The most memorable meal our group had during the inaugural celebration was at the Chef’s Garden Kitchen, where many of the herbs and vegetables used in the dishes are grown in a hydroponic garden in the middle of the dining room. It’s helmed by Niklas Ekstedt, a Swedish chef (whose restaurant Ekstedt garnered a Michelin star), TV personality, and author. He told us that the menu is meant to bridge traditional Nordic cuisine and modern techniques. If you go, do yourself a favor and get the scallop ceviche and the almond cake (the latter of which, Ekstedt said, is his mother’s recipe).

Half open to the sky and half-covered by an imposing LED-sky screen, the screen will feature tailor-made displays throughout the day. European cruise line MSC might not yet have the brand recognition of some of its U.S.-based competitors—at least to the North American audience—but its large ships bring all the at-sea fun you’d come to expect from the big names. Onboard, it’s not uncommon to hear passengers speaking numerous languages, as they hail from all over the world. Built in Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in St. Nazaire, France, the 22-deck behemoth has the perhaps surprising distinction of being MSC Cruises’ first vessel powered by liquified natural gas, hugely reducing emissions and making it the most environmentally advanced ship in MSC’s fleet. Gin lovers will find it hard to tear themselves away from The Gin Project, a new 87-seat bar themed after a real distillery that serves up all manner of cocktails centered around the G&Ts of the world.
The staff speak several different languages, to cater to the many passenger nationalities on board, so don’t be surprised if movies are shown in German one day and Italian the next (majority rules is the rule). New aboard MSC World Europa are balcony cabins that overlook the outdoor World Promenade running along the centerline of the aft part of the ship. These inward-facing cabins have views of the ship's interior promenade instead of ocean views, allowing passengers to get up close to the action, and take in the amazing light shows performed here on most evenings.

That said, it’s not suggested to shop up in shorts in the evening to the onboard dining rooms. Since being introduced in 2008 aboard MSC Fantasia, the MSC Yacht Club -- MSC's luxury ship-within-a-ship concept -- has gone through a number of iterations. The line has slowly refined its design with each successive ship, culminating in the relaxing and upscale spaces and accommodations found aboard MSC World Europa. New culinary additions include the Chef's Garden Kitchen, which is based around refined cuisine garnished with microgreens grown right onboard MSC World Europa.
Mediterranean
And, while it's not considered a dining venue per se, the Deck 7 pub, Masters of the Sea, has a host of pub favorites including fish and chips and bangers and mash available for order for a small fee. The ship's Mediterranean itinerary program is based on 7-night roundtrips from homeports in Italy (Genoa, Naples, Messina Sicily), Spain (Barcelona) and France (Marseille), all visiting Valletta (Malta). On May 31, 2021, were open for booking MSC World Europa cruises, with the inaugural season in the Middle East. Also new for the MSC fleet are "Zest - Juice Bar" (selling fresh-squeezed juices), "Malt Lounge & Bar (smoker's bar also selling fine cigars and with an incredible selection of top-shelf whiskies and cognacs), "Sweet Temptations" (ice cream bar for premium gelato and frozen yogurt/build-your-own choices). "La Pescaderia" is a market-style seafood grill (fresh fish display, takeaway options) with alfresco seating.

The event made World Europa MSC's first cruise ship not to be named by Sophia Loren. The ceremony was attended by Pierfrancesco Vago, Captain Marco Massa (ship's Master), Diego Aponte MSC Cargo's President), Akbar Al Baker (Qatar Tourism's Chairman and Qatar Airways Group's CEO), Hassan Al Thawadi (Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy's secretary general). The ship naming ceremony featured a drone show, a fireworks show, gala dinner, live musical performances (by Qatar Youth Choir and Matteo Bocelli). By annual passenger shipping volumes, MSC is ranked the world's 3rd largest cruise shipowner - following only Carnival Corporation and RCG-Royal Caribbean Group. The 2022-built MSC World Europa cruise ship (initially announced as "MSC Europa") is the first in a 4-unit "MSC WORLD Class" series of passenger liners designed and built for MSC Cruises. The first vessel (World Europa) is to be followed by the sistership World America (2025).

There are more than 1,400 crew members onboard MSC World Europa, and while it's impossible to meet them all, I found service to be stellar across the board. Because the ship is so large, don’t expect extremely personalized service (except in the yacht club). One of the best spots to hangout on the ship later in the day is the Ocean Promenade deck overlooking the stern. It’s a particularly atmospheric spot to gather for sunset and takes on an urban park feel, with people doing the very-Euro evening flaneur thing with ice creams in hand and sitting or benches to watch the wake. Were it not for the passing waves, you might wonder if you were even on a ship at all, so park-like is the vibe.
The public areas of Royal Caribbean's Oasis-class ships are famously broken down into seven or eight separate districts, which Royal Caribbean calls neighborhoods. Scheduled to debut in December, this massive new vessel named MSC World Europa is an astounding 22 decks high — four decks higher than Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas, the current size leader in the cruise world. Another concept new to MSC is the seafood restaurant La Pescaderia, which evokes a Mediterranean fish market.
